Your opportunity to be the lead HR professional within a major regional business with over 1,100 employees and a strong values base across the East Midlands
emh group is one of the largest housing and care service providers in the country. From small beginnings in 1946, providing housing for ex-servicemen, we’ve grown to be a major regional business with over 1,100 employees and 19,000 homes across the East Midlands. Having just completed a period of reorganisation and consolidation, we are now confident that we have the right resources and structure in place to look to the future with confidence and clear direction. So our new HR Director will join us at a key point in our evolution.
You’ll be the lead HR professional in our organisation and we’ll look to you to act as the definitive voice on HR and OD issues, working with your team to support and enable managers across the business in leading a motivated, engaged and resilient workforce. There’s an emphasis on transformation and embedding learning and development as a priority across the business, supporting talent from within to grow and develop. We want to ensure that our staff have the right knowledge and support so that their abilities and knowledge can deliver the greatest impact on the lives of our customers.
This is a role that offers a blend of strategic and operational leadership responsibilities. You should be able to offer a track record in facilitating culture change and organisational development, and you’ll have a well-informed understanding of the need for resilience and enthusiasm in leading change. From a technical perspective, we expect you to be FCIPD or MCIPD qualified and that you can share previous experience of offering HR advice at a senior level. It’s also important that you understand the dynamics of working within a multi-site organisation, and that you have worked within a unionised setting.
