The retirement comes after a career in the social housing sector that has spanned more than 40 years.
Neil Goulden, chair of Clarion Housing Group, commented: “Keith’s impressive career started at the London Borough of Southwark and ultimately saw him create the country’s largest housing association – Clarion.
“Throughout Keith has used his experience and influence to bring about positive change in the sector and this contribution was recognised through his being awarded a CBE in 2015.
“His work will carry on through the appointment of a new group chief executive, who will continue to deliver on Clarion’s bold targets.”
The process of selecting a new group chief executive for Clarion Housing Group is now underway and a further announcement will be made in due course.
