ESSEX housing association, CHP, is looking to offer five apprentices the opportunity to earn while they learn.

Taking place next Tuesday (25th April 2017) from 12:30pm to 3:00pm, the event at CHP’s office in Chelmsford is open to anyone who is looking to start a career in housing.

Starting in June 2017, CHP is providing two apprenticeships in housing and property management, two in customer services and business administration as well as one social media and digital marketing apprenticeship.

During the open event, potential employees will have the opportunity to see what CHP does as a company, meet its staff, receive a tour of its office as well as have any of their questions answered.

Amy Humberstone, who joined CHP as an electrical apprentice in 2012 and who is now employed as a full-time electrician, said: “I loved my apprenticeship with the company and the fact I’ve become an electrician with CHP because of it is fantastic.

“Not only are apprenticeships a good way to earn money and gain experience while learning a trade, they are also a really great way into the world of work. I really would recommend them to anyone.”

Debbie Willson, CHP’s Parkside Community Hub manager, commented: “These apprenticeships are a fantastic opportunity to work for an outstanding company while gaining a qualification at the same time. The five apprenticeships will allow the successful candidates to start their career and have the chance to go on to gain permanent employment with CHP if they wish to.

“As a company we are committed to developing and keeping talented people and these apprenticeship opportunities are testament to the company’s ethos.”
