Sanctuary staff rally against dementia

Employees from Worcester-based Sanctuary Group came together to cook up a storm this week and raise vital funds to help defeat dementia.

Staff from the leading housing and care provider took part in the Alzheimer’s Society Cupcake Day, baking and selling a selection of sweet treats which helped raise over £500 for the charity.

Funds will go towards the Alzheimer’s Society’s work in the fight against dementia, inspiring change and advancing research.

Nicole Seymour, Director Corporate Services for Sanctuary Group, said: “We provide care and support for a number of residents who are affected by dementia in our care homes and extra care schemes across the country so are only too familiar with the impact it can have on people’s lives.

“The work of the Alzheimer’s Society is vital in helping defeat dementia and it was great to see so many staff baking and digging deep to raise money for the charity.”
