Board diversity programme returns for third cohort

The NHF-backed programme aims to inform young people of what it is like to be on a board.

Raising Roofs, designed to get young people ready for joining a social landlord’s board, is running its third programme in 18 months.

With applications now open, the search is on to find its next batch of ‘future leaders’ for the programme, which will commence on 30th October.

Leading property advisers JLL have joined lawyers Winckworth Sherwood once again as sponsors of Raising Roofs, with housing figures Kate Henderson and Alison Inman expressing their support for the programme.

Co-founder David Levenson said: “To receive the endorsements of respected housing leaders like Alison and Kate as well as top professional firms Winckworth Sherwood and JLL is hugely gratifying.

“Our best advocates are the graduates who consistently tell us that Raising Roofs is a fantastic experience.

“These alumni have formed a peer group who are mentored and give support to each other. Many have already made the step up to the boardroom.”

The programme will conclude in March 2020 with participants presenting to their CEOs, sponsors, and other supporters about how they have advanced on Raising Roofs.
