Clarion chief executive announces retirement

Keith Exford, group chief executive at Clarion Housing Group has advised that he will retire at the end of the current financial year.


The retirement comes after a career in the social housing sector that has spanned more than 40 years.

Neil Goulden, chair of Clarion Housing Group, commented: “Keith’s impressive career started at the London Borough of Southwark and ultimately saw him create the country’s largest housing association – Clarion.

“Throughout Keith has used his experience and influence to bring about positive change in the sector and this contribution was recognised through his being awarded a CBE in 2015.

“His work will carry on through the appointment of a new group chief executive, who will continue to deliver on Clarion’s bold targets.”

The process of selecting a new group chief executive for Clarion Housing Group is now underway and a further announcement will be made in due course.
