Catalyst appoint new Director of Property after merger

Catalyst confirms completion of its new executive team.

Gary Goggins

Gary Goggins has been appointed as Executive Director of Property at Catalyst Housing Association, following its successful merger with Aldwyck Housing Group.

The appointment completes a new executive line up at Catalyst, which now owns and manages over 32,000 homes across London and the south east.

Goggins is promoted to his new position after serving as Aldwyck’s Executive Director of Property Services since 2007, having first joined the housing association in 2006 as Head of Property and Procurement.

During this time, he was responsible for establishing Aldwyck’s property maintenance subsidiary Connect Property Services and has served as its Managing Director since 2010.

Originally from a construction and contracting background, Goggins has been involved in the successful delivery of large scale asset management and maintenance for the past 20 years.

He moved into the housing association sector in 2001 where he worked as Technical Services Director for Hanover Group for five years before joining Aldwyck.

“I am delighted to be part of the new executive team at Catalyst, it’s an exciting time for the organisation and I am very much looking forward to working with my new colleagues to make sure our customers get the best out of their homes,” Goggins said.

Ian McDermott, Catalyst Chief Executive, said: “I am very pleased to appoint Gary to Catalyst’s now fully formed executive team. Having worked with him at Aldwyck, I know Gary will work extremely hard to deliver excellent service to our customers.

“I am also very happy to have now completed Catalyst’s new executive team. Our recent merger is about doing more, and seizing on new opportunities to build more affordable homes and deliver exceptional services.”
