James Brokenshire is due to make his first appearance before the Housing, Communities and Local Government Committee on Monday (July).

The committee’s questions are expected to range right across Brokenshire’s brief with possible topics including housing, social housing policy, homelessness and the future for local government finance.

Members may also question Brokenshire on recent reports published by the Committee on the private rented sector, draft tenant fees bill and housing for older people.

The session, from 4pm in the Thatcher Room, Portcullis House, will be Brokenshire’s first appearance before the Committee since his appointment as Secretary of State in April.
