Leeds and Yorkshire Housing Association Ltd (LYHA) and Leeds Federated Housing Association Ltd (LFHA) are to explore “bringing their  businesses together.”

The partnership proposals are at an early stage but both parties are agreed that, if they progress, will build on the “close working relationships and successful joint projects” that have existed between them  for many years.

As proposed, the partnership will focus on providing customers and communities, both existing and new, with an improved, quality service and greater choice.

A combined business is seen as more resilient and fit to take on future challenges, enhancing and strengthening both organisations.

The Boards of LYHA and LFHA agree saying, in a joint statement: This is an exciting opportunity for both organisations.  We are strong and well regarded with similar values and a shared ethos.

“We are optimistic about the benefits this new partnership could bring which will be built on a proven track record of partnership working over many years.”
