The Salvation Army Housing Association (saha) has announced the appointment of Nigel Hills as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Effective from 1st May 2019, Hills will succeed Nigel Parrington, who retires in April.

A qualified Chartered Public Finance Accountant, Nigel Hills is currently the Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Finance at saha, having worked for the organisation since 1984.

Hills’ career began in Midland Bank, where he worked for six years in both a local and a London West End branch.

He has had more than 30 years’ experience in the social housing sector and 15 years’ directorial leadership, with eight years as Deputy Chief Executive.

Nigel recently oversaw the saha merger with Chapter 1, which saw the transfer of engagements of that organisation and major change management to integrate people, processes and systems.

He has also led on contractual arrangements with third parties and has been responsible for overseeing the structural changes within saha.

saha is a registered provider of social housing and a member of The Salvation Army family.
