Homeless people in the UK range from rough sleepers to people living in temporary accommodation. The legal definition of homelessness depends on eligibility for help, the level of need and if homelessness is the person’s fault. People with children or vulnerable people are given priority. However, refusing an offer of housing can also be deemed as making yourself intentionally homeless.

Ministers pledge to end homelessness

On the 50th anniversary of homeless charity Crisis, Scottish and Welsh first ministers have come together in a bid to end the growing homelessness situation.
