Planning has been approved by Knowsley Council for a mixed extra care and affordable housing scheme by Lane End and Liverpool Mutual Homes.

As part of a £20 million commitment to Kirkby and its local community, planning has been approved for the construction of a three-storey extra care scheme building on Westhead Avenue, Kirkby.  Led by The Lane End Group and Liverpool Mutual Homes, the scheme compromises 100 apartments with communal facilities, 16 one bedroom affordable flats, 6 affordable bungalows and 48 affordable houses.  The scheme endeavours to enhance the area and surrounding facilities and will enable more people to live independently in their local community.
