With funding from Sanctuary Housing, Banburyshire Advice Centre is running a new service which aims to support residents with applications for Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment (PIP), and Attendance Allowance.
Weekly drop-in sessions are now taking place on Mondays between 9am and 12pm at the Sunshine Centre, in the heart of Bretch Hill.
Andy Willis, chairman at Banburyshire Advice Centre, said: “We appreciate that the introduction of Universal Credit and changes in the benefit landscape may have negatively impacted some people in our community.
“We want to offer our expertise to help those people successfully manage their benefit applications and talk confidentially about financial matters that may be affecting them.”
Charlie Heritage, Sanctuary’s neighbourhood partnerships manager, added: “We are delighted to be working with Banburyshire Advice Centre on this project, which aims to make a difference to residents’ financial wellbeing.”
