A hamper of goodies is on its way to a local charity after our Quality of Life team won top prize in a Christmas photographic competition.
A Bishop, Power Ranger and a severed arm may not be the normal take on a festive photo, but it inspired the judges at Alerta Call – a contact system used by our sheltered scheme customers – to award us the top prize.
This is the first time we’ve entered this fun competition, prompted by Leigh Jones, Housing Management and Leasehold Services Team Leader who jollied her colleagues into the festive spirit early in December and came up with the winning snap.
“We’d heard that other housing providers take Alerta Call’s Christmas photographic competition very seriously and last year one even had a real donkey in their picture. But we decided to take the fun route – it was Christmas after all – and I’m pretty sure the Power Ranger was the deciding factor!,” said Leigh.
“Next year’s going to be a challenge to top our success, but at least we’ll have time to put our thinking caps on and come up with something even more outrageous!”
Rather than keep the festive goodies for themselves the team voted to award them to Helping Hands.
