In recognition of Cyril Brown’s contribution to Cross Keys Homes, the board agreed the ceremonial title of President at its recent AGM and board meeting.
Tenant Cyril said: I am honoured to hold this ambassador role which will enable me to continue representing the good name and work of Cross Keys Homes.
“I would also like to thank everyone for their support over the last four years in my position as chair.
“It has given me great pleasure to be part of Cross Keys Homes’ board and I hope I can do just as well in my new role as President.”
The new chair of Cross Keys Homes, Angus Kennedy (Dr), who was officially elected at the board AGM, added: “Cyril has played a huge role in the development of Cross Keys Homes since transfer
and I am pleased to be able to still get the chance to work alongside him in his new role as President.”
Angus who has more than 30 years experience operating as a qualified housing and town planning professional within the public and private sectors will now chair the board meetings which are held
Angus added: “Cross Keys Homes is passionate about the communities it serves and I also share these beliefs and values.
“I am looking forward to bringing my ideas to the board and helping Cross Keys Homes to deliver great results and drive it forward with my fellow board members and staff.”
Chief executive, Mick Leggett, said: “I am delighted to welcome Angus on to the board and I know that he will make a positive contribution given his experience, dynamism and knowledge.
”I am also pleased that Cyril has accepted the role of President which will enable him to continue as a great advocate and promoter of Cross Keys Homes.”
Cross Keys Homes’ board is responsible for making policy, monitoring progress and developing new ideas for the future. It is made up of six residents, four councillors and five independent
business members skilled in areas such as finance, housing and development.
