On Friday 17 May, Ongo were crowned winners at two regional award ceremonies.

Winning ‘Best Community Building’ at the Local Authority Building Control Awards (LABC) and ‘Community Excellence Award’ at the North Lincolnshire Business Awards, Ongo was recognised for the work they have done in Westcliff, Scunthorpe over the last 18 months, and the development work which has happened there.

Jan Williams, Head of Community Investment, said: “To be shortlisted for two awards was fantastic, and to win both of them was just brilliant. For everyone involved in the creation and continued development of The Arc to be recognised is a great way to mark the first 12 months in business.

“We believe The Arc is making a real difference in the Westcliff community, and we’re seeing so many local people using of the facilities, and enjoying the activities and events taking place. We can’t wait to see what happens over the next 12 months.”
