Everyone Active awarded contract with Bromsgrove District Council

Everyone Active, the trading name for Sports & Leisure Management (SLM), has been awarded a new contract with Bromsgrove District Council to manage its leisure facilities across the district for the next 21 years.


The announcement comes as Bromsgrove District Council aims to increase the health and wellbeing of the local community through physical activity by extending the current leisure provision with the support of sports and leisure operator, Everyone Active.

Everyone Active will be managing the Dolphin Centre as of 1st September, and will manage the brand new Bromsgrove Sports and Leisure Centre when it opens to the public in autumn this year. The new Bromsgrove Sports and Leisure Centre will include:

• A 6 lane 25m pool with spectator gallery
• A learner pool with moveable floor
• A state-of-the-art 100 station gym
• 3 multi-purpose studios
• Spa with health and treatment rooms
• Sauna and steam room
• Climbing facilities
As part of the contract, all existing staff at the centres will be kept on by Everyone Active.

Cllr Peter Whittaker, Bromsgrove District Council’s portfolio holder for Leisure, said: “In a highly competitive process for the opportunity to run our exciting new leisure centre and swimming pools, Everyone Active came out on top.

“This council believes great, accessible opportunities for physical activity are vital for the community. We hope that through our new centre and this partnership with Everyone Active we’re providing these for even more people, on a sound and sustainable basis, for many years to come.”

Everyone Active currently manages 150 facilities across the country, in partnership with 45 different local authorities.
