Homes for Haringey has been recognised for the tenth time as a Top Employer UK for excellence in employee conditions.

Top Employers dedicate themselves to providing the very best working environment for employees through their progressive ‘people-first’ HR practices, and are only certified after rigorous evaluation by the Top Employers Institute.

This global certification programme has now recognised more than 1,500 Top Employers in 118 countries across five continents.

As an independent HR certification company, the Top Employers Institute assesses participants through their global HR Best Practices Survey and organisations must successfully achieve the required minimum standard as set out by the Top Employers Institute.

The HR Best Practice Survey covers practices such as: Workforce Planning, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development and Performance Management. The Top Employers Institute evaluates the implementation of these HR practices and reviews how they are supported through Strategy, Ownership, Practices, Measurement and Technology.

Puneet Rajput, Homes for Haringey’s Director of Corporate Affairs, said, “To achieve this award for the tenth time shows the importance we give to investing in our staff for the long term. We don’t just pay lip service to our aim to ‘develop our organisation’ but continue to implement good systems that encourage and enable staff to be the best they can be. By supporting staff in this way, we also improve the service we provide to residents in Haringey”.

“We’re proud that this investment has been recognised by the Top Employers Institute and that we sit alongside major organisations such as Pepsi, Whirlpool and Asda in terms of employee conditions.”

Top Employers Institute CEO, David Plink, says “We believe that the 2019 Certified organisations demonstrate exceptional employee conditions and encourage the development of these practices by putting their people first. These companies help enrich the world of work with their outstanding dedication to HR excellence and because of this, they are recognised as an employer of choice”

Top Employers are organisations of the highest calibre that have worked hard to create, implement and progress their people strategies. They provide an outstanding experience through strategic and thoughtful workplace programmes which create an environment that empowers and develops employees.
