This year’s search to find and celebrate some of the most outstanding and innovative work carried out by housing organisations in the north of England has been launched by the Northern Housing Consortium.
The Northern Silver Screen Awards are due to be held for the eighth time later this year, with entries welcomed in three categories: Technology and Innovation, Building Healthy Communities, and Inspiring Young Tenant.
The competition uses film to showcase the work of the Consortium’s members, which together make up 86 per cent of social housing providers in the north of England.
Jo Boaden, Chief Executive of the NHC, said: “I’m incredibly proud to be launching this year’s Northern Silver Screen Awards.
“It’s more important than ever before that providers demonstrate the incredible value they bring to their local communities, and the Northern Silver Screen Awards are a great way of showcasing this work.”
Submissions must be with the NHC by Friday 21 August. Shortlisted entries will be filmed and presented on the awards night, which takes place on the first night of the Northern Housing Summit in Manchester on 23 November.
