South Liverpool Homes recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces

Having a real sense of pride in the company they work for is just one of the reasons why South Liverpool Homes’ (SLH) employees choose to go to work every day.

Housing association, South Liverpool Homes, achieved the elite Great Place to Work standard in the medium category for organisations with 51-250 employees at an award ceremony in London on 8 May.  This is the second year the organisation has achieved the standard, ranking at 8th position – a significant leap of 22 places from last year’s 30th position.

The ranking is based on the results of the UK’s Best Workplacesä survey which was published today.  99% of SLH’s employees completed the survey which was commissioned by Great Place to Work® UK, a consultancy specialising in workplace culture, helping to create exceptional, high performing workplaces.

Employees believe that the organisation promotes a healthy workplace culture through trust, pride and camaraderie; 99% feel a sense of pride where they work and 97% feel that they make a difference to the organisation.

Julie Fadden, Chief Executive of South Liverpool Homes said: “We have a really special culture here at SLH.  There’s a real sense of pride and belonging across the organisation, where people care passionately about the work they do and go out of their way to support each other.  It is testament to them that we have achieved this standard and share the limelight with some of the best organisations in the country.”

South Liverpool Homes has jumped from #30 to being ranked one of the top 10 this year in the Medium category. Earlier this year, SLH were recognised by Great Place to Work® as a centre of Excellence in Wellbeing, demonstrating their commitment to creating a happier and healthier work environment for employees.
