WDH handed RoSPA Gold Award for health and safety practices

WDH has been handed a prestigious award in recognition of its practices and procedures which enable our employees to work in a safe environment.

They achieved a Gold in the internationally-renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards, the longest-running industry awards scheme in the UK. The award was an assessment of their health and safety management system and to get gold recognises how good their health and safety procedures and practices work on site and in offices.

They were presented with the award during a ceremony at Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel on Thursday 6 June 2019.

The RoSPA Awards scheme, which receives entries from organisations around the world, recognises achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Ian Brading, Health and Safety Business Manager said: “To achieve the Gold Achievement Award with ROSPA at the first attempt illustrates an excellent health and safety standard within the organisation. This recognition should be dedicated to all WDH employees involved in this process with special thanks given to Josh Boam, Health and Safety Officer for his help during the assessment and application process.”

Winners of this award have achieved a very high level of performance. They have well developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, an outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss.
